Go Up Go Down

Some days it is great just to wake up alive. Thinking that my regiment of a concoction of squeezed lemon, grated ginger root and tamarack in a blender is kicking in. In the middle of our heat wave I wanted to go a digging. Before leaving the apartment I did a bang up job of rubbing my shoulders, elbows and shoulders with Rub A535 for arthritis which I managed; still not sure how got some on the end of "Tricky Dicky." This caused as Elvis would say "A Whole lot of Shaking Going on." And no me son I did not try and rub it off! The horror, the horror! Reminded me of my first step father who after a night with the "Captain" tried to brush his teeth using a tube of Brycream where a little dab will do you!

Packed Zen and Aqua Guru in the trunk and pointed Nogo into the wind hoping to take my mind off of my burning "desire.". Mind you I did not mention that my housework had been left and too boot I got a call to go to work which I politely refused. Was not a cruise day or else I would have gone in. Stopped at a school yard/playing field and lasted till all the horse flies were fed and I fled! Donning Aqua Guru I entered the water amongst the ravishing rash of rugrats. My standard answer was spoken when asked what I was doing......"Looking for leeches."

Found a few items but was a tad upset at the junk that was left by aquatic holes! This new breed of diggers and swishers sure have not read the code of ethics for the hobby. make a point of taking the junk to the lifeguards who never fail to thank me for removing these sharp shrouds of metal. The water was relaxing on my limps and even Tricky Dicky seemed to calm down. Was one very stunning female at the lake who was enjoying a cooling dip out of the swim area. She was frocking, splashing and barking with delight.

Heading home I stopped to top off Nogo with regular Petro Can being the patriot that I am. Purchased a $2 ticket and won and instant $25 which did not even cover Nogo's drink. headed back to Lower Sackville satisfied, cooled off and almost in emporia ! Came to a crosswalk where an elderly lady (at least 20 years older than I with a cane) was waiting to cross so I stopped. As she went by my car I politely stated that "Your way too cute to run over." Not sure if it was the heat or a blush but she smiled at me and continued her hobble across the road. Sometimes I think i have more moves than Exlax!

Another page from an old digging journal.

Go Up Go Down

Hot weather, alive, "active Tricky Dicky" No house work, refuse working, land and water detecting, found a few items, Good scenery, winning the lottery, and finishing the day with a good deed.
Ohhhh. HALF YOUR LUCK
