There is an account of them rolling across the battlefield not looking as though they were moving very fast. One Union officer stuck his foot out to stop one and it took his foot off!  No no!

While in Turkey, I found a Cannon Ball made of Stone!   Yes Stone!  It was made from Granite and would have did the job fine .

Someone Stole it after I told them what it was.

I once found an unexploded 4" shell from a civil war battle field. That was a real find but very scaryyyyyy!!!! Shocked Gave it to a local historic society. Don't know where it went from there.
