Perfect because it explains how they actually worked, also for instance I didn't realize they were also used very much in different size hand guns.

Here is a pictures of a Pinfire 12 bore shot gun made by Boss London, Plus another by E of London .

Typical of what may have been used because they are the same Bore.
Although will never know for certain because there were known French  connections to this village where I found these, and the fact although Eley is English the Pinfire was French invention.
All interesting stuff
