 Wow this is an old post but I thought I would reply maybe you will see it.
 I also have an iver and Johnson in 38 SW circa 1900 serial under hand grip.
I've been to many gun shows and 60-75 bucks at best if I could get 250-300 I'd sell it.

neat little guns those IJ's i picked up a .32 cal topbreak saftey hammer model alot like yours except it has an exposed hammer good thing about most of the .32 S&W short cartridges out there now is that they are loaded to black power specs but these had the tendency to have top latch failures causing the pistol to break open while firing

These revolvers were popular as bed side protection back when I was a kid in the 1950's.  Probably inherited from Grandpa and he kept it in his bedside drawer.  The Sears catologs of the turn of the century had page after page of cheap revolvers like this.  I use to have one that was made by the American Bicycle Co I think it was.
