I,m looking in buying a used FisherF70 and the screen has light scratches from owner wiping off the dust that has
gotten on it and is hard to read. Can those scratches be safely removed without damaging the under display parts?
I was thinking maybe lightly buffing with cd scratch remover. Can the other cover be removed and replaced? I
would please like some input. Thank you and Merry Christmas  Fisherman

That would work just fine. There's also a cloth (and a paste) that motorcyclists use for cleaning their face shields which works very well. A mildly abrasive toothpaste can help for the deeper scratches.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
