Anybody have any experience with the Fisher 1212? I just got one yesterday on e-bay and wondered if it is a decent coin and jewelry getter? From what i have read it is comparable to a Tesoro Compadre. If so it should be a good machine. It isn't here yet but am looking forward to trying it, and the Ace 250 that is on its way, out when they get here.

Hello.

One knob simplicity is the only thing the 1212X has in common with the Compadre.

The frequency is lower, so it won't be as good on tiny targets and small gold, but it likes coins.

The disc is better on the Compadre too, the 1212X loves iron, no matter the disc setting.

But it is still a decent detector, you'll get fun and results with it.

HH

Hello Everyone . The Fisher 1212x runs at 4.2 khz and must be in motion to detect a target . The Ace 250 runs at 7.2 khz and will be easier and faster to pinpoint and locate your target ...........Regards.......Eugene
