Go Up Go Down

After a lot of reading about the pro's and con's on a Coinstrike I went looking to trade for one.  Found a good mutual trade with "Detectoraddict," a new one, with a five year warranty.  Great guy to do business with!  Anyway it's on the way here.  Seems like there is a lot of love/hate about this detector from being noisey to not getting any depth.  To me it seems from all the reviews I've read it "may" be more user error than an actual problem with this particular detector.  Guess I'll  find out soon enough.

Did you trade your F5 off? I do think the coinstrike is a good machine. I have heard there is somewhat of a learning curve with it, but there is with many of the higher end machines. Good Luck! CG

Wish I had some news about it "but" I just haven't had much of a chance.  Last 8 weeks I have been renovateing the house and just now finished putting new laminate flooring down in the new dineing room, liveing room and den.  "Oh my aching back!"  Now Xmas is here and finding time doesn't look good for doing the metal detecting thing with my new Coinstrike.  Thanks for you interest.

Pretty sensitive machine and the notch settings may easily be activated and you forget them and may wonder why some usual finds dont come anymore (happened to me) but else outstanding even for the smallest oldest and thinnest and tiniest coins

The Coinstrike was just tooooooo difficult to use.  With all the menu's and settings I traded it away, months ago, and went back to my White's MXT and Eagle.

The Coin Strike is a different unit from anything out there, the Edge is a better unit for hunting in town with EMI.
MXT is a good unit, easy to learn, built like a tank...Lots of coils to pick from.
Good Luck..
BJ
