I am new to the site and metal detecting in general, and wanted to find out what the rules are for using a metal detector in a National Park?  I have three in the Jacksonville area and wanted to see if anyone has contacted the parks to ask this.  If not I am going to make a few calls.  I just figured since I have to make a few posts to become a full member it was worth asking the question.

Thank you for any help!

It's a bear, but yeah, that's the way it is.  Glad you found out before you unlimbered the detector.
