There is absolutely nothing wrong with your post. It is relevant to treasure hunting where some do it by purchasing rather than finding.

That being said, we also do prefer to have a formal introduction and perhaps a conversation or two with people such as yourself. Otherwise, it looks more like you want to profit from members here rather than accomplish the goal of a forum which is discussion. Think about that and perhaps when you are on your next tea break you can stop by and tell us more about what kinds of collections are on offer. Coins? Weapons? Can you give us a few clues as to provenance? Sources? Some of us are quite professional and will find a corroded clump of earth and spend months or years identifying it keeping detailed records of our research on one single item.

So, how about it? Talk to us.

Posted on: October 02, 2015, 02:38:07 am
I will also add that some of us will clean and preserve things that would have long ago vanished to their corrosive environment. We love both finding and preserving the treasures left behind by men and women who came long before us.

Hullo!

We are quite friendly. What has that to do with YOU being friendly? Well, if you are not being friendly, it has everything to do with it.

We are a discussion group. Not a bulletin board for you to put a For Sale notice on. We are here to discuss treasure hunting, not be a target for your sales. Now if yo happen to be a member here, discuss things with people and generally have a good time, then you will be welcome here. We have a few people who have written books, designed metal detectors and assemble kits for others to build. They are all members who also take time and talk with us. This is how a forum operates. Nobody is giving you a hard time. We're just asking you to become a member here and not just a door to door salesman. Easy.

You have section for talking about sales of items and auctions coming up, that's where I went and then posted a bit in the bottle section as my time was limited and it was about 2am here. I didn't spam the site if thats what you are saying. I'm happy to contribute, but if there's always a narky remark afterwards, why bother?

As to the rest of your post, yes we find stuff by the van load, if you want to see some pics, just ask.

All sounds a bit high and mighty and cliquey, tell me I'm wrong?

Cheers

Al.

Yes, we have a section for sales and things. At one time, that required a minimum of 25 posts in order to sell something. No matter what sections we have, this is a forum. Not a classified section of the newspaper or a magazine. You miay also note that we have paid advertising here. Members in good standing are welcome to sell free while commercial sellers such as yourself are normally paid advertisers. But (and here it comes) those who participate as members are allowed to sell commercially here with no charge.

OK, if I'm purely a commercial seller, I'll buzz off then. Sorry to have wasted your time

Good grief, mate, I just asked you to participate a little. No drama. Stop making it one. You're doing it just right.
