Teknetics , Fisher , Discovery3300 and TIANXUN 19 kHz VLF Metal Detector

Hello Everyone . Since we have many Thunting.com members across the USA . I thought I would try this on a "trial basis" and see how it goes . The advantage of Craigslist is the prices are much lower than ebay , the disadvantage is it is local pick-up only . Which is really good because of possible scams that will take your money and send you nothing . Ebay has higher prices but at least you have help if someone rips you off . So what I thought I would do is type out a few good "Bargains" from different locations every few days , so members who are looking for Metal Detectors can simply check here on our forum , and if they see a city very close to them they can then go to craigslist -city-for sale-metal detector- . If I post a link and it expires then we will see nothing so I will type it out for now .
I think if we do this right it will work , another possibility is for "broken as-is machines" that are purchased dirt cheap may get some posting later on our "Tech-Talk" repair section with PCB photo postings . So please , your opinions are welcome here and very important !!!!........ I check craigslist everyday , and before I travel , I also check metal detectors for sale for the cities on my route and or destination . Like today I saw:

1. Whites Classic II $100 Albany . New York
2. Radio Shack Discovery 1000 $75 dollars Richmond Va.
3. Whites DFX e-series $585 Nashville Tn.
4. WhitesDFX e-series $650. Sacramento , Ca.
5. Whites Prism III $125. South Jersey Craigslist
6. Radio Shack Discovery 1000 $20. Phoenix , Az
I know a few are beginner detectors but some people look for those and try to mod. them , or buy for their kids
This is a lot of work for me , unless there is something like this already posted on one simple link I will try this for a few days . I know they have something like this already for e-bay, but I do not like ebay because the detectors I like are always way over priced. Let me know what you think about this Idea ?  Idea
HH........Regards.......Eugene

Hi Eugene, I saw one for $10 on this area's craigslist about a week ago. Didn't say what type and I didn't contact them - the town is about 50+ miles away. The heads-up on craigslist is a great idea to post.

I've been looking for either a different vehicle or a door for the one I own - craigslist autos can be a bit bizarre, but I'm sure those scammers probably wouldn't be selling detectors.  Sue

Craigslist is the way to go! I got my GTI2500 for $500 w/headphones & bag. He wanted 600, but after talking for awhile, he came down.
Also got my son's PrizmIII for $120. There always seems to be deals, but the good deals don't seem to last long, you gotta check daily.
Thanks Eugene for letting others know about this avenue for detectors!

Hello Everyone . Thank-You for the 3 yes votes . Sue you are correct on Craigslist Auto Parts and Cars for Sale , you have to be very carefull . Plenty of cars for sale but a lot with Salvage Titles !!! Transmissions are way over priced , I know because I am still looking for a Chevy Blazer 4L60E .... Any way back to the discussions at hand . I will try to start posting a small list everyday and what would be great is to see Forum Members here get a good deal and share the field test results , and also have members buy some "Not Working" Good Name Brand Detectors to tear a part and post PCB circuit board pictures for the "Tech-Talk" repair area !!!! Thanks again Everyone !!!
HH..........Regards.......Eugene

Eugene, thanks for the work on this.  I am always looking for a spare detector for my grandson and I to keep in case we are having problems with ours.

Hello Everyone . I am trying to figure out a way to post these in a more professional format  . So for now I will just type them out after taking a long time to find them . Sometimes they sell fast , sometimes they are over-priced and never sell . They have craigslist software for searching items but it is for one city at a time . I do not now where all the forum members live so best thing to do is post from most of the major cities around . Anything I put an asterisk symbol next to , I think will be a good Deal .. Regards.....Eugene

Great idea as there are many deals to be found on Craigslist.  I find myself snooping around there quite often as well.
