A simple way to search all of craigslist cities at once is to use Google and enter the following in the search bar: 
site: craigslist.org metal detector          where metal and detector are the search terms you want.  If you want to exclude a word, type NOT prior to the word  eg.      site: craigslist.org metal detector NOT security    which would return metal detector but not with security in the description.   You can use OR to return one or the other of two or more terms  such as   site: craigslist.org metal detector whites OR Fisher NOT security.  That will return Whites or Fisher metal detectors not related to security detectors.   Some experminting of the terms is necessary as there are not set descriptions for things and spelling is an issue too.  The trick is too balance between including words you want and excluding just the right ones to match the words the people are using in their ads.  Some are problematic.  Ocean Reef describes a beach landscape or a common real estate property name.  It is also the name of a company that makes very good full face diving masks.  Try finding an ad for one of those masks without having to read through hundreds of real estate ads.

A minus sign before a word you want to exclude also works.
