Your best bet to keep from being cheated is to know your types and to buy at shows or other places where you can inspect hands on.  Thee must become a SOOOOOOPER SHOPPER!  Also, if you start dealing the coins you like in bulk, by the rolls, or in larger lots, then you can get the best for yourself and sell the rest, sometimes at a profit!  It is very worthwhile to visit coin shows if you can.  As many as you can.  Become a cherry picker, it works!
