Smallest coil 6" next 8" then 9.5" standard then the big boy 12.5". I used the 12.5 a lot gives good workout and goes deep. The 8" coil I pulled mercury at 9". Best to use the smaller coils on damp soil. to many book to list well over $150.00 worth almost every book on dectecting and the xlt got them as gifts etc.
