Now that's what I was looking for down around Venice, FL a couple of weeks after Thanksgiving.....instead of those, though, I kept coming up with Tigershark teeth.

That's one nice looking specimen, Figgy

not as lost for words as you'd be if you had a shark with that big of teeth chasing you through the water.     Smiley

They say about 10 ft. of shark per inch of tooth, so that one comes from a 65 footer! Shocked

Here's some more info-
Megalodon vanished 2 million years ago, but when cruising the oceans, it was king.
Megalodon had 46 front row teeth, 24 in the upper jaw and 22 in the lower. Most sharks have at least six rows of teeth, so a Megalodon had about 276 teeth at any given time.
Megalodon was about 60 feet long with a body mass of about 77 tons.
Some scientists estimate that Megalodon ate about 2,500 pounds of food every day, including whales and other large fish.
Megalodon lived throughout most of the ancient world's oceans, from 17 to 2 million years ago.

Figgy that is a sweet one. Do you own it?
The age of the megaladon was miocene/eocene wasn't it?

Oh BTW: I dug out some of the crabs I have for trade and will post some for you to look at.
Just give me some time to take some better pictures.
The camera I purchased just does not work well for close ups, but I do have a camera that I am having worked on. Originally I was told it would be cheaper to buy a new one.
So I did, that's the one that does not take good macro shots.
80.00$ "you get what you pay for".
I have since found someone who works on camera phones and he told me it would be no problem. Cheaper than the 190.00 I was looking to spend.

I think I will just PM you with the Pics.
