I have been doing a lot of fossil hunting lately, mentoring at times.
Sharing with people and hoping I jump start someone to make the next great find.
My most recent hunt was to a creek in Sherman Tx.
Found shark teeth but mostly found pieces and met some new collector friends.
Next hunt will be near Justin Tx echinoids and ammonites. [Aug 16]

Not too bad, about what I was expecting to find.
Most all were imperfect.
There were quite a few that at one time I would have left laying.
I did manage a few worth pickin and made a few new friends as well.

The creek has changed so much over the years, but still stuff to be found.
I'll go again sometime, maybe next time pictures.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I went yesterday and found a piece of fossil wood about 4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Just looked down and there it was! Time in the outdoors is soooo rewarding!
