Anybody out there collect geodes. I have a geode mine about 3 hrs from my house and we went there 2 years ago and dug about 300lbs of them. They are definately fun to break open and see what is on the inside.

Are you selling them or just offering them up for grabs?  Huh?

Haven't really thought about selling them yet. I was just curious to see if other people collect them. I have some from a golf ball size all the way to a cantelope size. I still have a bunch that still need to be opened.

I live in Missouri. There is a area by Alexandria, MO (at the Iowa border) that lets you dig them by the pound.

They are so much cooler if you get yourself a rock saw and cut them. They make great bookends, and actually sell for a reasonable amount if you do that. Post some pictures. By the way does anyone know the geological circumstances that cause the creation of geodes?

Cheers

Sean

Is this a test?  Because I've read a couple of different theories in various geology texts...so I'd have to say the true cause/circumstance is still open for debate.
