Go Up Go Down

Found it on the continental divide, near Malpais badlands, near San Raphel, while searching for the lost treasure of San Raphael, (which is a true=Verified story), also found a silver bar lost by the spanish priests when attacked by apaches, they lost 20 muleloads of ore & silver, and were all killed but one in  the 1700's, have pictures of their gravesites (very dilapidated), checked it all out in local archives, i'll post a pic of the silver soon, but here's the meteorite, found it in the  desert at bout the 9,000 ft level, Miami university had it for 2 yr and returned it, after study, could not tell where it come from, and then i find out you really can't get one sold without verification of where it came from in outer space, so i keep it and treasure it highly, weighs around 6 oz, extremely hard, nothing locally will even scratch it, the university sliced it with some kind of a meteor slicer they have, very cool conversation piece, looks like a solid piece of fine steel inside, and magnets really stick to it like it was a railroad track, hey thanks for looking.
LATER,
The Boog{alt}

Interesting that they'd want verification of it's source before buying it. Sounds like you had lots of luck in the badlands on that thunting trip. Looking forward to seeing the bar. Thanks for sharing. Sue

That's a great find. Are you going to have it classified? Keep your eyes open- If there's one - there could be even more in the vicinity. Strewn fields can be hundreds of square miles in area although most are much smaller.
