| These agates were found during our last trip to Patagonia. It is always a very long trip , and we don?t know if we will find any agates , but it?s always exciting and worth the whole journey! Ricardo & Claudia Birnie Argentina

Great!
I downloaded the last group of agate photos and put them into my screen saver slide-show and look at them all the time! (I have been collecting agates since 1952 but nothing so spectacular.)
You have inspired me to go on a thunder egg hunt, next summer, to a location I have known of for 30 years. After seeing your agates.... I have to do it! That means I will have to set up a diamond saw (which I have been putting off for some time.)
What is the type of rock or soil, where you find these very nice agates? Do you know anything about the chemical composition or nature of the soil/rock, that you would share. Do you have any stories to share?
