"On many occasions on my annual trek to the high Arctic I have found tusks and semi-complete skeletons. Flying by charter plane on floats and just wheel planes as a Beaver.  Waiting for weather and getting through the Brooks Range and still two hours flying time.   The Colville river, the largest north flowing river in Arctic Alaska and it's grave yard of thousands of extinct mammoths."

There have been found 29 complete Wooley Mammoth skeletons in the lower 48 states that date back to 1,000 BC.

I was all stoked for a second... there is a colville river running 15 miles from my place.
Oh well, I will settle for the trilobites.

Cheers

Sean
