Go Up Go Down

patagoniastar;

As a lifelong rockhound, I am impressed!

I am even more impressed at the reception on what is usually a metal hunters forum!

Way to go, guys.

Brian AKA goldigger (what? dint I tell ya I was a rock nut?)

Thanks Brian and Tabdog ; we are not just crazy about agates , our craziness goes beyond that.
We are crazy when we travel a lot of kilometers , feel  amazed about the landscape (even we have been there hundreds of times) but each time is like the first one.
I think that only rockhounds can understand this feeling.Everything is surprising although it has been already seen Shocked
The changes of the seasons change the landscape and that is what is so wonderful.
Thanks for your kind comments! Smiley

Go Up Go Down

patagonianstar;

De nada.

I have had an interest, in rocks, since I discovered bright red ones, in the local gravel..... when I was 4 or 5 yrs old! Ive done some slabbing, cutting, and mounting of  cabs, some time ago, but I am still interested.

I know what you mean about it being the same yet always new, however, I have been plotting! Plotting to go to a NEW new place, and look for thunder eggs (500 mi or 800 km),  and maybe another trip, for some rhodonite, which is supposed to occur (according to a 1930s gov. minning report, I have,)  in a certain creek in southern BC... at least 400 mi  (640 km) from home.

Of  course, if I get  that stuff, I will have to set up some lapidary equipment and a shed, to work in! One thing leads to another.

Brian AKA goldigger (rockdigger too)
