Hi all.

I decided, just for the fun, to take my old....Beachcomber 6D out to the beach.

I dedicated one hour of my search time to hunt in the "minerals mode", and this produced the stone illustrated below :

3x2 cm, about 5 grams, the one side has a metallic glow, the other seems to have burned.

Possible meteorite?

Thanks for looking.

HH

Scratch it on the back of a ceramic tile if it is black streak it is metal slag or hematite. If not and it is magnetic have it checked at a local university.

Well I just did !

Il leaves a black trace on the ceramic...

So I guess, although magnetic, it's not a meteorite.
