Hello all

  • There was, on the site of Lake Barbazan, a city engulfed today? On its shores, a strange cult took place there. Of "votive" would sleep beneath the waters.
    {alt}
  • It has long sought, in the bed of the Garonne, Blagnac, the venerated statue of Saint Exupere strong, thrown two centuries ago to calm waters. It was, of course, sentimental value.
    {alt}
  • If one believes the Centuries of Nostradamus, subject to many interpretations, a considerable treasure - a copy of the Venus of Praxiteles and marble busts have been updated a century ago - would be around Martres-Tolosane.
    {alt}
  • Nobody so far has managed to decipher the signs etched into the church by the Knights Templar Montsaun?s. They lead to some hidden underground?
    {alt}
  • Part of the "golden Delphi, sacked by the Gauls, is perhaps in ponds and lakes in the Toulouse region, specifically the side of Old Toulouse.
    Another "war chest", more recently, have been stored during the Revolution, by a noble city, in a castle near the city in order to escape the famous Temple of the little prisoner, Louis XVII.

Good reading

Luc

Hi Hardluck

No it's just a picture of the oratory dedicated to Saint Exupere, try to find you the prints in question.

Luc,
I always find it quite a challenge to try to read ancient french.  It evolved so much Round About Fight  Rider  Police as to be sometimes difficult to comprehend. Teach Making things worse, I'm from Quebec so my own french has evolved differently than yours.

Now, my question: is it possible (read legal) to go detecting under that lake? There would probably be some nice relics waiting to see the light of day again I guess.

Hi Jocelyn S.

Hello and thank you to interest in this topic. On the detection in the lake if it is not subject to archaeological research (which seems to be the case), nothing prevents you from exploring, but if you find a few things you should immediately report it to the Town Hall . This will prevent cultural affairs, your discovery will be appraised (50% accruing to the municipality and 50% in the discoverer). If during the inspection, it turns out that the discovered object is of historical interest, then the state will buy the object (this takes a long time).

Kind regards

Luc

So it seems to be like in England. I've read sometimes about archeological finds/treasures etc in England and it seems to follow the same route that you describe here.

  Hello Luc
 I found this all very interesting. Have you any more information of this cult by the lake?
 Also how about the depth of the lake, and I got the impression that it's man made.
