Go Up Go Down

My wife went with me to a local Goodwilll store while my son was at a Beta convention in Indy. I was looking for scrap silver items when my wife says,'hey! these might be worth something." I turned around to see a bunch of Christmas ornaments? I would have never even gave then that first glance if she hadn't been with me. They were Hallmark Ornaments, still in their boxes. They were all Star Wars and Star Trek! They were all from .99 to $1.99 each. I told her we could get one of each (there were multiples of each one) and we had a week...if we found they weren't worth anything we could bring them back. I didn't do anything with them that day, but, the next morning I got up early and pulled the first 12 out of the box and looked them up on ebay and watched the ones that were going off in the next few hours. The 12 I was watching sold for $187 dollars! I told my wife I would be tickled if I got that much out of ALL of mine! When I saw what they were going for we made another trip to the Goodwill store....but, they were all gone! Undecided Anyway....I put mine on ebay I had about $48 tied up in them......they sold for $335 Dollars!!! I couldn't believe it! Now! I hit a Goodwill store several times a week and sometimes we even take a all day trip and hit all the Goodwill stores from Anderson to Noblesville to Greensburg, Rushville, Greenfield...just anywhere we can find one! No more deals like that one but I have found quit a few bargains! And we've had a lot of fun! You never know when you might find that one item that's worth a fortune! Like the guy I saw on TV that found an original copy of the Declaration of Independence at a Goodwill store for around $2.50.....Sold at auction for like 1.6 million USD!!! You never Know?!?!? From Trash to Treasure...it's all out there.....and sometimes the difference between the two...can be a fine line! Wise

I had a couple different Enterprise ships. One was kinda small and the other was bigger and had light effects in it if I remember right?.....Probably now the ones you're talking about. Also had a War Bird and some other ship? Don't remember off hand. Undecided  I probably should have kept some of them...I always liked the show. I saw every episode.....BEFORE they were RERUNS! Actually...I don't think they had invented the rerun yet? Embarrassed I remember watching the first pilot episode. I had the mumps and my mom moved the tv into the bedroom so I could watch it....I was hooked from day one! I even saved cereal box tops and got a Star Trek Insignia Patch! I even had a blue star trek shirt I got somewhere? But! What I ALWAYS wanted was ...a PHASER!!! I bought a model kit that had a Phaser , Tri-corder & communicator in it...but was really disapointed when I got home and opened the box to find they were about a third the size I was expecting Angry. I did see a life size one in a THINK GEEK catalog the other day...it was REAL tempting! Grin

I've Graduated from Star Trek and now...as if you couldn't tell from my avatar...I'm a Die Hard Stargate SG-1 Fan!!! Give me a Zat gun and a Phaser and it's all Good! Oh! Yeh...and I've GOT to get me one of those P-90's! Great I actually looked into getting one of them awhile back...surprisingly the full-auto version was CHEAPER than the civilian semi-auto model?!?!?  Shocked
