I picked up a metal detector find from someone in Europe on ebay for 99 cents plus shipping which he had pretty low shipping on.

After clean up.

A peridot stone. Not sure of the metal. Approximate size 1/2 inch wide. He did not have any information on it. But I'm thinking at least early 1800's if not earlier. Just my feeling on the crust 1600's or earlier. And either used as a button or cuff link.
