Go Up Go Down

Went to the local park where they held the annual Blackberry Festival, Classic Cars show over the weekend. I must say, folks are doing a better job of hanging on to their money these days. But they still part with their junk. Violent Anyway i found 7 buried nickles(all 2"-3"), 14 dimes most buried 2"-4", 2 quarters, and 34 pennies(mostly 1"-3"), along with 2 silver chains and my usual pull tabs, foil, bottle caps 3 pencils, and 2 hair clips, and a key ring. And all of this in only 5 1/2 hours.  Grin I think i am starting to understand better what the Ace is trying to tell me. I am starting to call my finds. Not always right but getting better at it. Anyway, heres the haul.

Hello Rebel . When you do get close to the Gold Rings and Gold Necklaces that are still buried somewhere , You will find it ! You are becoming a "ACE 250 EXPERT"  Once you start going to different Parks or the "Old Houses with permission of course  Wink " , it will get much better !! Just think , if all those coins you found were 50 to 100 years old , Your ACE 250 would be paid for "Twice or more"...   Thanks for posting , Great Work you are doing on This Forum. I will be detecting again very soon in Cooler California weather , where I am now its still 102 right now on the edge of the Mojave .
Good Luck........Regards..........Eugene

Thanks Eugene. Tooo Hot for sure. We were in the mid 80's today but supposed to be in the mid to high 90's the next week. Have to hit it really early in the AM or late in the evening. And drink plenty of water. Good luck with the hunting.

It sure looks as if you are tightening up your ability to use the Ace 250. Is my memory faulty or were you ready to heave it out the window at one point? LoL

Glad you kept it. You will find that it is much better than you imagined. To be quite frank, most of today's modern machines all have so much going for them that it's hard to call any one of them a bad investment. Once you learn how to use them, they all have something about them that makes them special.

Happy hunting, there mate! That's a great plate of finds you have there.

Not quite ready to heave it, but i was thinking about selling it. Glad now i didn't though. I just ordered the 10x14" DD SEF Excelerator coil for it, so i have to keep it now. Grin  Let me know when the Compadre comes ashore down under. Great

I'm swinging the 9x12 coil on mine. Today I dug a dime at 8-9 inches in wet sand on a volleyball court. I was blown away. I figured it must be an aluminum can at around 6 inches, but I just kept going and lucky I had my pinpointer. The more you use your ACE, the better you will be able to understand what it's telling you. Same with any detector. I also recommend the sniper coil. It sniffs out coins in trashy areas very well.

Thanks Paul. I have my 9x12" coil up for sale now that i ordered the 10x14" Excelerator from KellyCo today. I only ever used the 9x12" one time so it is still like new. I had the Sniper coil but didn't see where it did any better than the 6x9" so sold it.

When the larger coil is chattering all over the place, I break out the sniper coil. I'm very interested to know how your 10x14 Excelerator works for you. Let us know when you get it.

I am extremely interested to know how it works too. Grin Not sure why i really thought i needed it as i don't have a lot of places to hunt and don't know that i would want to dig a hole as deep as this thing is supposed to go at any of them. Idiot Ohh well, we shall see. Maybe i can take a trip to the beach and give it a whirl there.
