Garrett Fudged.

VLF and PI are two completely different technology.

In the Manual they only talked about use.

Trust me the boards are no were near the same except the audio portion.

It says XL500 but no other info no pulse... VLF.... but coil is that of VLF. I read the handbook and everything matches XS500... I just do not know if I can change the coil or If I can what option do I have? I will have to check the Circut Board later as it isnt here... Thanks....

Hello . When you get your machine back you will know exactly what model it is in less than a minute . Like Homefire said , everyone at Garrett was also confused when they made XL500 P.I. , XS500  , XL500 VLF , XS200 all at once  Shocked  Shocked   Idiot

Since you bought it second hand, the seller may have given you the wrong coil. Does the unit work at all?
