I am new to all this , I picked up a Garrett AT4 at a flea mkt, It isn't working . I am wondering if any one knows the resistance for the windings for the search coil. It is  deepseeker

I would also like to know which way the four wire's go on the board as they were impossible to figure out as two were broken off.  The search coil is a Crossfire and not a deepseeker.
I would also like to have a schematic if such a thing is available.

I can't remember the coil Freq.

It's 15Khz or 5.5Khz?

Is the coil marked?   They started marking them after they moved to the 5.5.

The metal detector is a Garrett Beach Hunter AT4  The coil says it is a crossfire supreme deepseeker, it is 8.5 in in dia.  There  is no other imfo on the search coil.

I had the Schematic on the computer that took a poop.    I sent out some request to see if I can get another copy for us.

Hang in there.

What happened to the download area on this forum , I thought the Garrett schematic was posted there already ?

A frequency change was made between AT3 and AT4 . And everyone says the AT3 worked better ? Who knows but the only schematic I found from 2007 was a supposed AT3 from Russian Forum and it has errors . You will have to see if anything on your circuit board matches this one ?

Update: Only the AT3 was posted on this forum in a PDF format !!

Since the download area does not work anymore for me I will post it here again today . I am also checking if AT3 was 5khz and AT4 was 6.5 khz ?

Down load is working.

I can't seem to find the AT in there though.
