I am trying to repair an old Garrett Deepseeker ADS metal detector and need schematics for it.  Tuning works but it does not detect metal when placed by coil. Cleaned coil connector and battery terminals.

Unfortunately Garrett is most tight lipped on there schematics.

What model do you have?

Can you post a Photo of it.

Garrett still works on there older machines.

Call Garrett and ask about their repair and return policy. The last time I asked, it was dirt cheap to send in a machine, have it repaired and serviced, then returned. From here in Oz, the postage was the highest cost. In the end, I took their advice and did the repair myself. After nearly 30 years in service, my Sea Hunter needed a new battery pack. I was very worried about opening the water seal on the unit. After a few phone calls, they told me to just replace the battery pack and sent me the seal I needed free of charge. Since the unit was well and truly out of warranty by then, it was a guilt free repair.

I love Garrett machines and absolutely love their customer service. No, they do not release schematics but with their freely given advice, the repair can be quite easy and inexpensive in the grand scheme of things.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I have found a schematic from the Google. I dont know if yours or not.
You may check several parts if suits yourself.
