Hi people,

First time in a forum, so hope you forgive my ignorance.

I wonder what?ll be the behavior of the detector if I lower the sensitivity. The thing is: want to be able to reduce depth of detection when using the standard 9.5" imaging coil (or with the 12.5"). Doing so the detector is mostly silent but sometimes it beeps and shows something size D or E at 8, 10 or even 12+ inches deep. I tried with sensitivity at 3, 4 and 6 with same results. When digging nothing appears and then shows something size E at 12+ and I can dig down to China and nothing appears.

Any suggestions?

[round]My GTI 2500 use to have that problem until I sent it in for warranty service it might be in the software, I still get some falsing but it is now very limited, Garrett would probably have some good answers for you, they have the best service department.

 Cry

No doubt a check-up will solve any poblems... when you have eough money and time. I live in Ecuador, SouthAmerica, and even for a full repair I have to think twice before sending in the detector. Shipping costs are about 300 dollars each way, plus the fact that the machine may "get lost" during shipments.  Spending 600 dollars and 2 months time for a check-up makes you think if it is better to order another machine. Garrett just told me to submit the unit to Kellyco for a check-up.

Does the warranty makes shipment cheaper or free? The machine is still under warranty, but as far as I know the warranty does not cover transport to and from.
