Here's another tip :

It is valid for ANY detector that has a FIXED , not adjustable ground balance.

At least according to what those stupid manufacturers are claiming.

Turn your detector on and put it in a wide, clean place on the ground.

Now, turn three times around it doing the rain dance.

Your detector will now be ground balanced for rain water-soaked grounds.

Some people REALLY do find their graduations in breakfast cereal boxes.

You seem prepared to remain forever in a darkness of your own making. How sad for you.

Not to mention so called electronics engineers who rely on two words in a catalog instead of electronic knowlege.

Fortunately, there is an "ignore" setting on this forum.

I still don't know if I will use it, cause I like to laugh.

Go for it. That button will save you from egg on your face. What ever gave you to believe I relied only on those two words? Did you not read what I wrote? I investigated this far more thoroughly than you ever have. You rely on a manual that doesn't even mention ground balance. What kind of thinking person does that?

Read the patent. Let's see if your electronics knowledge can see you through it.

Now as to trying the method I described. Are you afraid I may be right? Is that the real reason you don't try it?

Quoted "Here's what I did. I powered the unit up around 30 feet from the wet sand and started scanning. Since it was my first use of the Ace, I dug a few targets and made some mental notes about depth, and etc. As I walked down to the wet sand and into the soup, I had warbling and all manner of instability. I turned off the power, turned it back on and the warbling was gone and I was hunting like on dry land. Not satisfied, I walked back to the dry sand and had zero targets detected for an area I suspected would hold about 5 or so pieces of junk and maybe one good item. I did my recycle trick and went over the same ground and found 3 coins, no junk."

This is EXACTLY what i did!!! It worked, and going back to the beach this weekend, and will try it AGAIN, and post back my results.

Any of you guys want me to post a video of it doing this? I will... Would the video be enough proof?

Just keep it to yourself. Let the rest of the world suffer. LoL

Good luck to you. After a week, the sand should have settled a bit. Any more storms on the horizon?

You know you have lost, so use tha smoke... lol

It is documented and it has been shown here.

So why take a cheep shot at me?

Just a smoke screen?

Garrett used to have the information on their other website.

There was a link to it the last time this came up.

It is gone now..

If it exist, show us...

As the expression goes;

"Put up or shut up."

I want to see documentation as I have provided for you.

See? There is a slam dunk and you served one up to Saltfisher the same way saying in all caps that we were both wrong because the web site said one thing. It did. It said that the ground balance auto-adjusts. It never once said anywhere, even in the manual, that the ground balance was or is fixed. Read here:

This has got to be the third or fourth time I have posted this link. Read the item about "One-Touch" treasure hunting. There. Now I have put up. Will you kindly do the rest? Or at least read what I have posted on the matter. My technique does work. My comments were not a cheap shot at all. Even Saltfisher noted you seemed angry. Perhaps it was just the caps lock being on.

Still friends? I certainly hope so.

Never preset. Auto adjusting. Read the words. Move your lips if you must.
