I just acquired the ace 250, did battle with it just yesterday in fact. Tell me a technique or two that you use for best results?

I am primarily hunting for coin in trashy lots. I don't want to discriminate out anything at this point and the part that gets me is the sweet tone it reports for aluminum scraps, giving me a cruel sense of hope. I do mean to clear these areas eventually. found a wheatie and a few surprises, will post later. Poptop!

poptop, you'll find all sorts of tips on our Beginners board.   Some are specific to the Ace 250.  Most are applicable to most detectors.  Also, if you will use Google or a similar search engine, you will find some really great videos on how to use your Ace 250.

Read the manual. reread. reread. Take it with you when you hunt and use it. Dig everything until you get really familiar with what it is telling you. Takes time, but it's worth it.
