Garret Master Hunter ADS III

Hey guys, just got a 4" deepseeker Super Sniper coil for my Master Hunter ADS 3, just wondering what is the max depth I can expect with  this coil, and how should interpret the meter depth reading with this coil ( eg: meter reading x 0.5)? Is this coil any good for use during prospecting (I realize that the ADS 5.5 khz is not ideal for prospecting), but most nuggets, correct me if I am wrong, seem to be found within 4- 6" of surface.

I am curious to see how this played out...sorry there was no response to your question. I have an ADS III that I really enjoy and have thought about getting the super sniper.
       !!!Question for Homie!!!
can a pigtail be made up to fit a five pin SS coil to the ADS III (four pin)?

I have a ADS!   One of the first 5.5KHz to come out.

Depth is going to be about as wide as the coil is wide.

Yea, 5.5 is sucky on gold but ya still have a chance.

As for the Meter?    Mine does not do Depth.

I doubt yours will with that coil ether.

Sheeeeese.    your only going to have to dig a few inches!   LOL

You can use the 4 pin coils if you switch connectors on the box and coil to the 4 pin. Garrett switched connectors to keep everyone guessing. The 5 pin connector coil units still only use 4 of the 5 pins.
