yeah i have detected with the Ace 250 pro for about a year and a half and i don't find it as good as some of my friends detectors. There pin pointing capabilities are much superior. Ace is good, but even with discriminating i get too much crap or no signal at all when i elimanate iron and caps and pull tabs.
So i ordered the new Whites MXT PRO and will sell my Ace 250, don't need to hang on to a unit for sentimental value. rather give it to some other hunter so they can miss finds i can get.
