Howdy, tec9.....welcome.    I'm sure our Canadian brethren (and northern US members) will appreciate any reports you provide of sites worth searching (or even just worth visiting even if they can't be searched)

Hi Tec9. I spent some time in the 60s up around Hamilton up north of you and saw a lot of abanded rail lines. Around Orillia and Algonquin Park. Always wanted to get back and check some out. Of course today maybe it is all built up.

i use to live above orillia, and remember going camping in the six mile area.one day after a hike we took a brake and sat down,on a big rock .i saw a gleam and walked over to see what it was, there i found  was a gold seam of about .25 to .5 .now after 30 years it has come to my mind to try to find this place again.i have been looking at maps for weeks now and my wife thinks i have lost it.
