Hi Eugene!  Good to hear from you.  No, I haven't been back to Shaniko.  I've done a bunch of research, collected book and pictures about it.  Other pursuits have kept me here in the northeastern Oregon mountains, plus motorcycle trips around the west every summer.  If I do get back there I guess I will have to specifically make some time to do it.  There are other ghost towns closer to me that I want to visit, too.  Between age (72) and health and medications I find I am slowing down more and those kind of things take a little more preparation and time!  I'm trying to do more writing now that things are slowing down for me.  If you get there, let me know!
