I went to Google Maps and typed in the coordinates I acquired from Geocommunicator  of a few places.  A map immediately pops up with an indication of the spot on the map to represent the coordinate location indicated in the search box.  You can then get various views of this spot clicking on the views portion.

I'm new to geo caching too. I have found 15 caches by using google maps alone. It gets me close enough that i can actually see the cache when near it.

For some obscure reasons, Google earth won't work on my laptop. (Windows Vista).

So I found this one, it is worth a look !

Here is another nice mapping program.

USPHOTOMAPS

USAPhotoMaps 2.77 downloads USGS aerial photo and topo map data from Microsofts free TerraServer Web site, saves it on your hard drive, and creates maps with GPS accuracy. Smiley

Mine is a HP Pavillon.

Google earth starts normally and immediately freezes at the first attempt to navigate on the maps.

Google maps works fine, so... :Smiley
