I got an advertisement from Delorme telling of their new handheld GPS called PN-40.
I bought one of the first PN-20's when they first came out a couple years ago. The 20 could be loaded with good maps.  The 40 is advertised to be even better in many ways.  I already have an old Garmin 12 and the PN-20 so it would be hard for me to justify buying a PN-40.  Still, I am trying to think up a good excuse to get the 40.
When my old computer failed which had Windows XP I bought an IMac from Apple Computer.  I was greatly dismayed to find the maps for the PN-20 would not be available with Apple so I got out of the habit of using the 20 until recently when I got a laptop that had Windows Vista.  Now I am using the PN-20 again,
If you have an Apple product as your computer and you wish to get a PN-40 you had better check with Delorme to see if it still only uses Windows to hold their many maps which you then download onto the GPS receiver.
