Go Up Go Down

This is NOT a Joke!  I need Help here.

I opened my cabinet under the sink and found a nest of the Beast!

Had some Generic Bug Spray and hit them.

They Scampered and all looked good.

Next morning I looked again and there they was.

Smiling, looking at me with Contempt and just plain Mean!

LOL, I go to town 3 miles away, purchase some Black Flag Roach Grenades.

I cover my Fish Tanks, (TWO) with garbage bags and send all of my dogs out side.

I set one off in my bed room, Bath Room and living Room ,kitchen too.

Wait the Prescribed two hours.

Come home, house smells like Nasty.

Open all doors air it out and let the dogs back in.

All was good, Looked like a WWII war site.

Bodies every ware.

Sweep them up, and go to bed.

In the morning, I take a look under the sink again.

Just as many as before.   Bastards!

This means War!

This time I go to town, K-mart and get the best of the BEST home guard stuff. Pray every thing, Cabinets, lockers, under cabinets, Drilled hole in the Mobile home walls and spayed in there too.

Plus some High Dollar Killer Double Dose Rade Grenade!

Do the same thing, Cover the fish Tanks, Send OUT the the Dogs, Set them off as Prescribed and hit the hills.

This time I stayed out over night, doing some gold panning.

Came Home, Aired out the Stank, Checked on me fish, let the dogs in and looked under the sink.

Guess What?

The shit was  still There.

Looked like they was having a Party it did!

The only way Raid Works is if you Knock them in the Head With the Can!

Dose any one have some thing that kills the little Beast?

Hi,
Have you tried the "glue traps" that you can get?
They are usually pretty effective.
Sounds like you'll need a few though.......

Mix a one pound package of baking soda with two tablespoons of flour. Stir it up well and put it on a couple of the plastic trays you get from meat in the store. Don't wash the meat trays. It helps to attract them. They will eat that little picnic lunch and clog up their innards. Then they die. It's even safe for the dogs but do put it away from them. They'll not be happy but the roaches die because roaches only need a few molecules of water a month to survive while dogs drink gallons of water. That  water will flush the dogs innards safely but it has no nutrition for them.

Hello Homefire

From the sounds of things you have German cockroaches. (Blattella Germanica )

They are called French cockroaches in Germany and France they call them English Cockroaches. Grin

But in fact they originated in Morocco. They made their way all around the world by the mid 1850's with the advent of steamships. German cockroaches need food water and heat. Places to check is under electric kettle or coffee maker behind fridge motors, microwave cracks and crevices under the sinks and around indoor hot water systems.

German Cockroaches in ideal breeding conditions can produce an egg sack nearly every two weeks. the egg sack ( offica ) will have 26 cockroaches. There breeding cycle is three times quicker than the Australian, Smoky brown or American cockroach which produces an egg sack in 6 weeks.

First thing you should do is keep or food scraps to a minimum, keep all food in sealed containers.

Secondly You need a pesticide with and insect growth regulator, preferably with chitcen inhibitor.

The Growth cycle is about 12 months and German Cockroaches have exoskeleton so like a crab as they grow they shed their shell. What this inhibitor does is hardens their outer shell as they grow through their grow cycle so they cannot shed their shell and they biologically crush themselves to death. Biologically German Cockroaches at this stage have a 100%  mortality rate.

Hardluck.
