I just had a look at the power supply and it works fine no problem. I think that there was a short but why and how I don't know. Peter you won't believe this I have just found the fault I just wish that I could get my camera running like it should there is a piece of wire in the press stick that you used to hold the board down and guess what it is just in the right place to come between V-input and V-output. Ho by the way guys the problem with Peters machine is that it got 11.5v instead of 6.5v problem now is how to fix it?

I guess that is the trouble when you have S#$% eyes  No no! maybe I should stay away from soldering irons  Grin Grin Grin although it has run like that basically since I have had the power supply.... I think I must stick to teaching you how to drive tractors... they are BIG with no short circuits  Laughing

I only solder with that magnifying glass head thing (now what would be a good name for it)

Yes but that piece of solder could have been there for a long time, and with the heat and slight movements it ended up making a short. I believe that everything happens for a reason even when it makes the least sense after some time it tends to makes sense.
