i'm positive this is a center piece pendant to a braclet as you see a chain connection hole on either side. on the back of it has a cross above a M and stars for a border 12 in total. the gem is foggy but i do believe thier is a design or a raised design under the gem, but as i said its to foggy to see it. perhaps i may get curious enough to remove the gem to see what may be under it. if anyone knows or has any idea on the symbol on the back of it with a typical chirstian cross ontop of an M i'd like to hear. it is however silver plated copper as you can see in the pictures from what has worn off.

The symbol is on the back of every Roman Catholic medal of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. That's her crown on the letter M surrounded by stars. In the other side crystal you'd see her standing on the world.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
