Go Up Go Down

I recieved my new ETrac at the beginning of June. Went to a park, turned on the machine, and on my first swing picked up this for my efforts. It was about 4-5 inches down. I had my granddaughter with me so she got bored with her detector within an hour. Got a few more coins (no silver) to go along with the gold.

I'm pretty sure the stamp on the back reads 999g. Anyone have a clue to what this means ?

It could be .999 fine gold which I believe is 24K. If it is, it will be VERY soft. Or it could be an item ID number.

Just ordered my e-trac from kellyco  should have it this week. Can you fill me in on the programs, start up. Is it easy to understand /learn the screen?
I hope we can exchange learning curves.
I been using the Whites prism 5. DMX and coinmaster for years and I finally bought the one I wanted.

It's bent up enough that it could be just under 24K gold.   You might want to take that piece to a jeweler.

Cant remember what the numbers were. Brand new machine, squawking on first swing, keeping an eye on my granddaughter,,,,,,,,,,,
The metal is very soft.....it was bent up more when I found it, I straightened it up a little. I'm pretty sure it high content gold.
I've been out three other times since recieving the ETrac. Just to a local park to get to learn the maching. I dug approx 80 coins mostly clad, 1 silver rosie, and a couple other pieces of costume jewerly. It's been so hot here lately that I havnt been out in a couple of weeks but I'll be back out there soon........... Grin
Mine was on backorder from KellyCo for over 30 days. Their advertisement stated "in stock" when I ordered. The next day I recieved an email that it was on backorder and I should have it within a couple of weeks. After 4 weeks and many calls and email, it finally shipped. Hope you have better luck !!!! It's a great machine right out of the box. I suggest you read all the forums, get Andy Sabichs book on the Explorer and ETrac, read the manual thourghly and have fun.........
