hey every one, I have just found a "silver marcasite watch" (spelling) the maker of the watch is "Ingersol" and according to the company cleaning it, it may well be over 100 yrs old(?) I found this while having a look at a old Cornish house and its grounds, not looking for anything in particular, but hoping....

According to local legend, the area was frequented by the "Cornish Smugglers and Pirates", commonly known for their having lights on the rocks to attract ships and to wreck them. then of course steal the cargo.( maybe the odd keg of Rum or two???)

anyway, soon as its cleaned, i will post it hear for comments, maybe someone has seen similar??

Now then, firstly its a "Accurist" not a Ingersoll, not sure where i got that name from.??

the face has faded but it cleaned up well, and the dealer said i should get it insured....

But i gave it to my wife as the dealer "H. Samuel" cleaned it inside and it worked......
Now that was a bonus.

Anyway, its a nice find.........


be Lucky
"H. Samuel" has insured this watch for $145.00, so that cant be to bad.
So, not a bad day out...will be going back to the same place, check it out some more.

you never know........
