Go Up Go Down

Hi All

Got my new silver umax and finally got out to an old picnic spot I had researched. Found this within 10 minutes! Anyone know what era could be? the stone is most likely glass, and the metal appears to be brass? the string is from the sponge i gently removed the worst dirt with, haha, didn't want to clean too harshly

The 4 clasps have me stumped...

I am new to the hobby, so I followed what sounded like good advice and did a lot of research before going out and was able to make it productive and fun.

Now I'm really hooked!

thanks in advance for any help

Way to go! Your off to a good start. Sort of looks like 20s vintage costume jewelry.

very nice! soak it in really hot water and dish soap awhile, and take a very soft toothbrush and clean it. You might have tarnished silver, or gold. Take it to a jeweler to find out about the stone and metal.

The piece looks stamped not cast or hand built so yea from the 20's to 50's hard to tell. As for the 4 eyelets, might have been part of a bracelet with several links connected with jump rings. The stone looks flat back so at best a good rhinestone with gold or silver back.
Clean it up and add it to your collection GOOD START.

Great find!  I agree with everyone else about vintage, etc..  Glad you used advice and had a satisfying hunt.  It will hook you, easily!  Keep on swingin'!  And thanks for sharing with us!   Detecting

Thanks for the input, I should have posted a pic of the back, the stone is not flat, but cut traditionally like a diamond (can't remember name of the cut), and the back is indented where the face is pushed out--not sure what it means, but I will take it to the vintage jewelry expert my wife uses and see what they say, I'll post after, thanks again!
