Be sure to not be taken by these gold buyers
advertising on TV lately.

They will only give a few pennies on the dollar
for gold.

That is steeling in my opinion.

I send my gold to Mid West Refinery.

There are a few other honest places.

I pay about 6 to 7 percent. That is all.

Think of this.

If they could pay 20 percent more as advertised,
they would be paying 14 percent more than the
value of the gold.

That means, they would be operating at a loss.

I promise that it is just a lie,

Tabdog

tabdog;
Sounds like a good deal; here a buyer will pay US dollar value but in Canadian dollars, that means his profit is the exchange difference. For example:

If gold is $930 US, They pay $930 Canadian.

If the Canadian $ exchange rate is $0.83US they actually paid $771.90 US, so they made the difference of $158.1 per ounce. 10 ounces of raw gold means $1581 US easy bucks. (92 to 98 percent fine, too.)

Hope I didnt frighten anyone.... here is another: if you tour the Yukon and do any nugget shooting/finding, be warned, the Yukon insists on a 10 percent royalty.  Anyone caught not paying and in possession of gold, gets fined. Sub Rosa, is the term, if you find any.

Brian AKA goldigger (bin there, done the Yukon)

If I remember right, tabdog weights (with scales) and determines (with a miser gold tester)what he has before selling.

That's a very good practice for all of us to follow....and given how inexpensive the scales and gold tester are, it's practically a self-inflicted crime NOT to make that a regular habit.
