Bottom line is Lincoln was subverting the Constitution and people got pissed. He was one of the first to use Federal Actions to take the Rights and Power away from States. By the Constitution, they had the rights to Succeed from the Nation and he did not want them to do it. Lincoln was NOT a Hero. The Slave bit had nothing to do with the War until we was well into it.
