You couldn't have "known" it, Salvor6. You simply believed it which is much different.

Well, in spite of that, there you go. It took you guys long enough. But eventually, you did learn from this exercise. You have finally convinced me with what appears to be genuine evidence of the name being in existence all those years ago. You were correct. Do note that I was not wrong, though. I simply have stated all along that there was no proof presented here before this newspaper clipping. I am still correct on the methodology of the research of you guys who believe there is a massive cover up and conspiracy going on there. When you learn to do proper research, even when forced by argument here, you learn a bit more about actually finding treasure instead of just talking about it.

For the record, this is the first proof I have seen of the KGC being mentioned before 1930. I admit it appears to be valid evidence.

Now, on to the next challenge. Find out their financial standing without all the hysteria and hoopla. Evidence, please. Not "well it must be there because . . ." Without evidence, you have absolutely nothing but more fantasy.

Thats good! And will be tons of fun looking through there!

That was great solid evidence. Now if we could just find some records stating financial statistics or even something that just talks about them dealing with money and who they worked with would be great! Even if we could find something talking about who the affiliated with could provide good insight into what the actually did!

Thank you, cccalco, for posting this New York Times article.  This is rock-solid proof that the Knights of the Golden Circle did not die out "during the war" as the traditionalist myth-makers want everyone to believe.

Rock solid proof? I guess when one believes in such silly conspiracy theories about Jesse James and huge amounts of buried treasures...anything can be labeled as "rock solid proof".
