Hi Justin.  It's obvious that neither RO or GD have read "Confederate Agent" so they have no idea what they are talking about.  On the other hand, I always read an entire book, and bibliography, and thoroughly research the author before I quote it online.  GD, the magic man, spends too much time doing cheesy card tricks with pre-opened decks to even read a history book or to be considered a serious researcher.  RO, on the rare occasions when he does quote some document or webpage like in his latest reply, fails to give the source of the quote he uses so it cannot be verified.  The one source he did give, weeks ago, turned out to be a critique that any anonymous viewer could edit and add anything they wanted to the page.  What a scam!  You might want to do an Internet search for "James D. Horan, Pinkerton" to see what you find.  Smiley

It's actually not asinine at all. Because if it doesn't exist, it should be easier for you to prove. You should have an easier time finding evidence in your defence. But you still don't seem to do that.

Sure its asinine. You cannot prove something does not exist, if there is nothing proving it existed in the first place. Conspiracy theorists, such as yourself and Texas Jay still have not provided any reliable references or sources that would indicate mega-buck depositors or caches existed. Just a ton of lip service. Quite similar to the Yamashita treasure boys.

Thanks Texas Jay that is great stuff.  It would be nice if you, RO, would actually do real research and cite your sources. It is possible to prove something is false if it hasn't been proven true. Although we did give your sources for evidence that proves it right. You just don't seem to be very up to date with how research works. Sorry I can't help you work on those skills. It's just something you are going to have to work on over time. But don't worry you should hopefully get there!

MEMPHIS DAILY APPEAL [MEMPHIS, TN], May 7, 1861, p. 2, c. 4

Knights of the Golden Circle.                                                                                                                                            Headquarters, Army of K. G. C.,                                                                                                                                               Louisville, Ky., May 1, 1861.

            1.  Commandants of K. G. C. castles throughout the various States of the South, excepting Texas, are hereby ordered to forward, without delay, to general headquarters, at Louisville, Ky., complete muster rolls of military companies.  If the military organization of a castle is not completed, the commandant will take immediate steps to have it done.  Each company, when organized, shall consist of one captain, one first lieutenant, two second lieutenants, four sergeants, four corporals, two musicians and ninety privates.
            2.  Castles belonging to the Texas division will report to Gen. Geo. W. Chilton, marshal of di[illegible]on, at Tyler, Smith county, Texas, or to Col. Charles A. Russell, acting adjutant general, at Helena, Karnes county, Texas.  The president begs the order to respond fully and promptly to the call of Generals Chilton, Ford, Wilcox and Green, and stand on the defensive until our national troubles are ended.
            3.  All general, field and staff officers of the American legion will report immediately by letter or otherwise, to the president at Louisville, Ky.
            4.  The president begs to state for the information of the order that since the first of February last he has been laboring in Kentucky?principally in the city of Louisville?and has added to the order 1,483 members, 534 of whom have been sent to the army of the Confederate States.  Two regiments are now being formed in the State to be held subject to the orders of the Governor.  The order has now 17,643 men in the field, and the president has no hesitation in saying that the number can be duplicated if necessity requires.

George Bickley, K. G. C.,                                                                                                                     President of American Legion.

We have given you tons of them. cccalco keeps listing them off but you don't know how to do research so I guess I should'nt figure you would know how to find them.

Don't waste your valuable time with those naysayers. If someone doesn't want to believe the KGC existed they never will no matter how much proof you show them.

cccalco has not listed the first reliable reference or source in regards to KGC treasure....KGC mega-bucks depositories or KGC caches.

I don't recall ever asking for references or sources in regards to the existence of the KGC. I have only asked for the proponents of this mythical treasure to validate their extraordinary claims.

I want to believe they existed but thus far have seen nothing in actual proof. Just some typing. Nothing more.
