Is it best to have a written agreement with land owners for cache hunting or will verbal agreements do?

What I do with even my best freinds is the landowner and I sign an agreement that if $$$ is found its splits 50-50. Its just the injoyment of the hunt more than anything else for me. The RUSH it brings!!!

use the search function at the top right corner....enter "written" and search the entire forum....read the posts very carefully AND especially make sure you listen to Dan Hughes "Treasure Corner" podcast on the subject. Then do what your conscience dictates....just remember that going to someone you don't know with an agreement to split something that you don't even know for sure is on their property is going to raise all kinds of red flags in the average landowner's mind.
