The law is very similar here.
A ranger told me some time ago while he was checking my miner’s licenses that I was aloud to take the gold out of the ground, but any coins or artifacts I found I should put them back in the ground, for the future archaeologists to find.
I offer to hand them in (if I found anything ;) ) but as he said they had not the “ facilities ” for that.
