All I did was call told them I am a 100% disabled veteran .
I got both passes with no problems after faxing a copy
of my VA rating.

All iknow Iis it worked for me in 2013 regardless. Of what your link says.

i didn't dig any archeological sites. My permit was just for the day use areas.

You might want to check with them again. Buddy of mine had a permit and they sent him a letter revoking it. Form letter to all permit holders. Yours may be a special case but with the big "0" in Washington, I wouldn't bet on it. Call them and find out for sure and let me know. I may be able to get one too.

Hi Karl:
THere isn't too much in this area worth digging for.
I'm from New England and that place is /was rich with finds but down here in East TN there is very little to find.
I just returned from FLorida and the Gulf side beaches are generally striped clean.
I was out twice for an hour each time and  found a modern quarter and then in desperation I dug what I thought was junk.
I was right. a 7" lead pipe.  At least I can melt it down for mini balls
I envy tou. You're in the Civil War region.  Knoxville didn't see too much action and the sites worth looking at are either parks or under concrete

Thanks bow bender.  Just wish I was able to get out and detect more.

WB4RAV those 2 permits were In 2013 I didn't get any for 2014 nor did I try.
if I am able to get new ones . You will be the first to know.

If i remember correctly mine were only good for 30 days at a time.

 Thanks Karl. I would like to hunt some of the beaches and water ways (out of water) around Boone and Watuga Lakes.
